Wow it feels like you have been inside my head! I identify with all this SO MUCH. . . I recently realized I’m once again dealing with burnout, and just said to Anna yesterday: I don’t want to be burnt out every 6 months! . . . I do feel stuck in this gaslighting moment where normal is killing us, (almost) everyone knows it, and yet everyone is still all in on being normal??? It been making me feel deranged lately. Hearing from people like you is what’s keeping me sane!

“everyone needs to learn to withstand the discomfort of deviating from the norm” PREACH!

Being an aunt is actually the very best. Cuddles, fun, reading books, them bing excited to see me - and then someone else is responsible for the melt-downs, the screaming, the sibling fights and I can just close my door, lie down on the sofa and have a peaceful nap.

I've tried to check out of as many "normal" things as possible, sometimes by instinct, sometimes by very conscious choice. And the parts where I'm still heavily involved in "normal" are making me sick, too. And yet, when you talk to people, most consider themselves to not be normal" in some ways. Anyway... I wish I had more people around me willing to become even less "normal" together - which, I guess, would then become our own kind of normal. 🙈🤷‍♀️
